Good Evening
I've got some new exciting news for those of you seeking to polish up your Dj/producer skills. I am collaborating with some good friends from Music First and some local talented DJ's this weekend @ Skull Space, 125 Adelaide St!
I am the session guitar player for the workshop. Essentially we will be looping and cutting every tasty little note that screams out of my guitar for use in beat matching and composition arrangement. If interested in checking out the seminar you can email the nice fellas at Music First, tell em I sent ya! ---> Skool.musicfirst@gmail.com
The guitar being played for this particular seminar is a 1972 Fender Stratocaster with a custom shop body, and custom Di Marzio pick-ups. The mind blowing quality of this guitar really is its versatility; this is a major reason why I select this instrument for seminars and demonstrations, because it has a really raw and genre defying sonic pallet. I absolutely love the neck on this guitar, its nice and slippery "albino" maple for lightning fast playing, and it's solid enough that you don't slip and skip notes.
The reason for the guitar specs is to offer some insight on the technical aspects of this instrument, because it will be one of the go-to guitars for the upcoming posts on composition... Also I just really love talking guitars!
What a lush beauty! So back to business, I will be recording elements from the seminar and posting shortly after the weekend. For all you producers out there that are constantly on the hunt for samples, I will post some free guitar samples that you can drop into your own works for a little bit of funky flavor! In the spirit of being new blog buddies, here is a brand new track I wrote and produced featuring the guitar above, Enjoy!

Up & Running!
Good morning all, I am writing from Winnipeg, MB the cultural hub of central Canada, the land of talented musicians and producers alike! In this Blog I will be: writing reviews on new gear hitting the pro-market, conducting technical seminars to help you with your home recordings and step by step fabricating original songs and beats!
My goal here is to provide short-cuts, tips and tricks, a trove of dirty little secrets that are only whispered among the hit-makers and innovators. Think of me as like, an under-cover audio ninja that blogs and stuff... You catch my drift!
Well I have to say, I am looking forward to digging up some content and conducting some recording technique demonstrations, I got plenty of tasty concepts floating around the studio. I hope to accommodate all readers of the track layin' persuasion, so I will be exploring many genres, styles and structures of music composition in a digital audio workspace.
Audio production elements for film will be yet another engaging chapter in this blog, where we will examine Foley and custom creation of FX using minimal gear that will entice even the toughest film critics, causing popcorn to expel out of their careful clutch... But don't get ahead of yourself, this is just the intro! You'll have to tune-in for all these delicious "goods" to come up in the mix, I promise it will be worth the wait!
Suggestions are always welcomed if you are following along and have a particular question regarding home recording, tracking, mixing and mastering; I would be happy to explore it in my seminars!
Thanks for reading! Check me out often on this spot, I'll be kickin' it, feeding your curious mind with new posts on the subject that would be a guilty pleasure; if it didn't make people dance like filthy animals. Most importantly; keep making noise, no matter what your neighbors say!

Contemplating new content while stroking beard.. Menacingly.
